We believe in being completely open and transparent about how we charge. Our fees comprise a basic flat rate of £100 an hour for ongoing public relations counsel, programme delivery and editorial services. We charge £150 an hour for emergency (unplanned) public relations counsel and support.

Before we start work for our retained public relations clients we develop an annual programme of activity and agree every single aspect of this with you. This includes a detailed analysis of the time required for us to deliver each activity item, and TextWrite's fee for the job. We provide regular financial and activity status reports, keeping you in the picture of how your public relations budget is being spent.

We will split the programme budget, and our invoices, into 'fees' and 'costs'. Fees cover the time we spend on delivering your public relations programme.

Costs cover expenditure that we incur on your behalf in the course of delivering the programme.

All costs incurred on your behalf will be with your complete knowledge and approval. We will ask you to approve any individual cost over £100. When commissioning third-party work on your behalf we will secure at least three quotations for the job, show you the quotations and discuss with you which option we'd recommend. We do not mark up third party invoices.

We charge a standard 9.2 percent of fee to cover costs that we incur on your behalf; namely postage, telephone, fax and Internet charges. We will invoice you for fees in advance, but at the interval of your choice. We will invoice costs monthly in arrears.
